British and International Sixth Form Programmes

British and International Sixth Form Programmes in Alicante

Our premium British Sixth Form in Alicante offers two internationally recognised academic pathways, each designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and qualifications required for success at leading universities worldwide. Students are guided to select the pathway and subjects that best align with their individual strengths, interests, and long-term goals, supported by experienced teachers and dedicated university counsellors. Both of our Sixth Form pathways are validated with the EVAU, giving students direct access to leading Spanish and global universities.

International Sixth Form Pathway

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a rigorous, holistic qualification that is known for helping students develop advanced academic, cognitive, and personal abilities. Sixth Form students must study 1 subject from 5 compulsory groups and can either choose a second from any of those options or select an arts subject. This unique High School curriculum lends itself to a broad education where students are encouraged to draw connections between learning, enhancing lateral and creative thinking.

Supporting this goal are the three core IB subjects. These target specific soft skills, requiring students to critically apply the knowledge they have gained during their education to real-world situations in a way that mimics the demands of higher education. The IB has gained significant popularity both at a High School and university level, with graduates up to 22% more likely to gain admission to top British and American universities.

British Sixth Form Pathway

Our A Level programme is the natural next step in our British High School curriculum, offering students access to the “gold standard” of UK high school education. A Level students select 3 to 4 subjects from a broad range of options. This specialised Sixth Form programme allows for advanced command of subject content, the ability to apply this knowledge to new and familiar settings, and advanced analytic skills.

A Levels are complemented by a core programme that includes life skills, study skills, a community service project, and the Extended Project Qualification, which is valued by universities as equivalent to an AS Level and provides students with an opportunity to undertake sustained, self-directed research. In addition to the core British Sixth Form curriculum, students also prepare for a Spanish qualification, further opening access to local universities.
